Town of Newburgh Fire Companies are in the same boat as the volunteers nation-wide. We are down 25-30% in membership and it’s wearing us down. While our memberships dwindle, our call volume is at an all time high. We believe the Town of Newburgh has enough talent and population to bring our memberships back up to where it needs to be by educating our residents about who we are and what we do. Many people have moved here for our services and community and do not realize the fire departments in the Town of Newburgh are 100% volunteer. Collectively we protect the community from fires, car accidents, natural disasters and public service calls. We help out at community events and promote good fellowship among our members.
